FAQ
What is a skin undertone?+
Your undertone is the subtle hue under the surface of your skin: warm (golden, peachy), cool (pink, rosy) or neutral (a mix). It stays the same when you tan, unlike your surface skin tone.
What if the tests disagree?+
That usually means you're neutral or olive. Go with the test you can judge most clearly in daylight, then confirm by trying warm and cool shades on the live try-on.
Can you have an olive undertone?+
Yes. Olive skin has a green-gray cast and often tests as neutral. Muted, slightly warm shades such as terracotta, rose and berry tend to suit it best.
Is the undertone test the same as color analysis?+
No. Undertone is one of three dimensions. Full color analysis also looks at depth and clarity to place you in one of 12 seasons.
